WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR REIKI SESSION
In Your In-Person Session
The session starts with an overview of what will happen during the session as well as a brief discussion where the client can share anything they wish about physical, mental, emotional or energetic areas they wish to address (but sharing this information is also not necessary to experience relaxation and positive effects through the session).
The client then lays face up on a massage table (clothed and cozy, generally under a blanket), and the session can either involve gentle touch or no touch depending on client preference. The Reiki practitioner uses their hands to deliver soothing energy to the client’s body, improving the flow and balance of energy to support healing.
Clients often enjoy relaxing in silence during the session (relaxing into sleep is very common) and are also welcome to share any experiences they may be having or ask questions as the session takes place.
At the end, there is a brief time for the client and practitioner to discuss the session as the client wishes.
In Your Virtual Session
Virtual sessions are conducted securely over Google Meet. The client takes the call in a quiet, comfortable place of their choosing.
Like the in-person session, virtual sessions start with an overview of what will happen during the session as well as a brief discussion where the client can share anything they wish about physical, mental, emotional or energetic areas they wish to address (but sharing this information is also not necessary to experience relaxation and positive effects through the session).
The client then gets comfortable in their location, either laying down or seated. The Reiki practitioner delivers soothing energy to the client’s body, improving the flow and balance of energy to support healing.
